El Hend (Indian Evening) is a collaboration between sax player from Norway, Trygve Seim, Indian tabla player Jagdeep, Indian sarangi player from United States of America, Nicolas Magriel and flamenco guitarist from Spain, Fernando Perez.
As a result of a casual meeting of the artists in the city of Cairo, Egyptian producer Fathy Salama and managing director of Mawred.org Basma El-Husseiny made possible this unique gathering of sounds from such different parts of the world.
The artists met in a special night at El Azhar Park Auditorium in El Cairo, Egypt, to offer a fusion of indian, flamenco and western music that provoked all types of surprising responses among their audience.
