Fernando Perez had the honor of being guest artist at the "Masters of Hawaiian Slack Key" celebrated at the Ritz-Carlton in Kapalua,
Hawai'i. Fernando had the privilage of playing steel guitar for slack key legends George Kahumoku and Cindy Combs.
The "Masters of Hawaiian Slack Key" is a concert series organized by Slackkey.com with the support of main names of the hawaiian arts world such as Dancing Cat Records, since 2003 they have been bringing to their concert series the legends and masters of slack key guitar such as Cyril Pahinui, George Kahumoku, Daniel Ho, Bob Brozman or falsetto master Richard Ho'opi'i.
This concert series have been released in several CD volumes and won a Grammy Award in the Best Hawaiian Music Album category of the 48th Annual Grammy Awards 2006.
