The spanish guitar is considered "The Guitar" by birthrights. There are two main types called classical spanish or Flamenco guitar, although their differences are not too far away. Different type of woods are used in order to change the sonority of the instrument which originally was darker in the classical and brighter for Flamenco, although nowadays we find many wood combinations in order to achieve the best of both worlds.
The spanish guitar has always been the mother of many guitars around the world, it became the tireless traveller which found a place inside of many cultures, giving birth to other guitar varieties as well as producing original new music styles.
